Who We Are & What We Offer

 

Star Light offer therapeutic interventions for young people in the form of anger management, anxiety and self-harm, and emotional trauma.  This support will take place in suitable venues for the child and young person, such as our therapeutic Sensory Room or therapeutic rooms, by trained practitioners. 

Media is an ever-growing industry; We  will offer children and young people the opportunity to take part in the production and planning to make media productions.  Workshops will be held for children children and young people to give them the opportunity to learn the skills for College/universities giving them the best start to their future carers.  Or it maybe something young people wish to experience to gain confidence and develop their social skills.

Sensory Baby Stay and Play is available on a weekly basis or sign up to a 6 week scheme for Sensory play for age 0-4 years old. Parents can support their baby to explore their environment with access to the Sensory room, Messy Play, sensory story time, Sensory music activities, therapeutic Art and craft.  Babies can develop social skills with other babies while there and parents connect and share ideas and socialize with other parents. 

Star Light also offer Stay and play.  We have a messy play area, with tuff tray activities, role play activities, arts and crafts, water play.

 Holiday schemes are available to children from age 5 to 16.  We also have holiday schemes specifically for children with additional needs and disabilities.  Children can access all the facilities we have at Star Light, with sensory activities in the sensory room, balance areas, with tunnels and obstacles, messy play, slime tuff trays and coding are amongst some of the activities that are available.

Star light have a newly designed sensory garden space for children to explore. The garden is designed to stimulate the senses of touch, sight, smell, taste and hearing with different features, services and plants. 

The agency also have a therapeutic space for adults and children accessing our therapeutic services.  This is to provide a calm and safe space to feel comfortable whilst working with our experienced staff team.  We also have a facility for group work for any group activities that will be held.

We have a large kitchen area with a server to offer food and drinks if required.  Our staff are trained to level 3 food hygiene.

All the activities that will be held at Star Light will be inclusive to all faiths and backgrounds, sexuality and gender.  Festivals and celebrations held throughout the year will be recognized at that time by Star light
